Big Changes At Cameesa.com
If you haven’t heard of Cameesa.com before they’re a crowdfunding/crowdsourcing t-shirt store in the same vein as Threadless, Springleap and others in the market. They help connect artists with fans as many do however they’ve taken this business model a step further encouraging more commitment from t-shirt fans by encouraging them to be sponsors. We have featured Cameesa before at Cameesa.com Crowdfunding Fashion last September and they’re going from strength to strength, building up their fan base and database of top designers.
Here’s the latest news straight from Kamil, one of the team at Cameesa -
* They’ve lowered support amounts from $20 down to $10, so now you can support a tee for just $10 or wait to buy it for $18+
* There’s Free Shipping on everything from March 20th-27th so hurry down there now!
What’s more if your fave tee doesn’t make the grade you can reclaim your sponsorship, in fact you’ll get 110% back just for your trouble!
Whilst I’m at it here’s a few of their latest t-shirts on offer… read more
Bonèr Clothing – Sexy If You’re Crazy
Bon√®r Clothing are a sweet little label with a cool range of endearing if not slightly strange tees that should tickle your fancy (if your fancy is on the bizarre side, or most likely the dark side of the moon of Bizarro World). But I’m in, I love mad, the condition not the magazine. Besides I am mad for a start, I love weird films, and crazy art, and crazy people as long as they don’t have a wardrobe of strait-jackets and protest for their rights through the art of defecation.
To the tees, does Bon√®r give me a boner? Well no, to be honest I don’t get sexually aroused by clothes, I know there are most probably some guys out there right now somewhere in the world begging their girlfriends to wear that cheap set of nylon stockings and suspenders they’ve just bought at the local adult store, or maybe worse. Maybe they’ve decided to wear the get up themselves, either way I’m not that way inclined. But still, it’s funny and I like funny, funny ha ha that is.
If you’re worried that BC is trying to compete with the whole bad taste sexually insulting market you’ve come to expect from more infamous sites like T-Shirt Hell you’ll be relieved to find out you’re mistaken. read more
Thriving Ink Sale Now On!
I haven’t got around to fully reviewing Austin, Texas based urban clothing label Thriving Ink, but this seems like the perfect opportunity, especially as they are currently holding a sale on all their tees. Buy one and get one free at TI – the coupon code is CUST2 and it expires August 31st. Plus they offer free shipping (I’m guessing USA and Canada) for all orders over $50.
ThrivingInk.com seems to me, more like a community than a t-shirt label, even if you don’t fancy buying a t-shirt right this minute there’s plenty more to do at their site. Check out the artists section or keep updated on all the events they attend and organise. Their community section features plenty of places to see their machinations on the net, and gives you a chance to hook up with the people behind the label. Hook up at Myspace.com or Facebook.com or check out their videos at YouTube.com or you can keep up-to-date on all their latest exploits at their blog – well I say that but actually it seems a little neglected :/ read more
Eggheads T-Shirt at Design By Humans
You see this is the fun bit, for both you and me (honest!), I’m a t-shirt designer and I run a t-shirt news and reviews blog, and so unlike mortal t-shirt reviewers, I can create and submit works and let you in on the process, success or failure, it’s all still useful information I’m sur
We’ll call Eggheads a tester, I’d just written about my fave tees at DesignByHumans.com last night; my eyes were bleary, my fingers trembling with the possible onset of RSI (fingers crossed ouch), a strong coffee by my MacBook and a strange vision in my head, banging at the insides of my eyes, pleading for the possibility of escape. It was an act of kindness (for my own sanity), yet looking at the design in the clear light of day, and with a clearer head, I have to admit, this is one twisted t-shirt design. read more
Zombie T-Shirts – for people with brainsssss…
Do you love zombies? I mean in a purely platonic fashion of course! Ever since I first saw Dawn of the Dead (The original George A. Romero production – not that awful remake), I was hooked in, it just seemed more feasible at the time, what with all the talk of genetics on the horizon, biological warfare, what have you. What didn’t make sense was a rather fay gentleman biting ladies on the neck with fangs that his dentist must surely have noticed, even if no one else ever did. read more
Fair Trade Eco T-Shirts – a designers’ dilemma
There’s a moral obligation for all t-shirt designers to try and pressure the industry, alongside the consumer, to practice business more ethically. This for me is a completely different argument to judging the conditions of the Third World from a First World perspective. Here the only people who we can blame are the t-shirt printers and textile industries of the West, which is fine and dandy with me! read more
