Bon√®r Clothing are a sweet little label with a cool range of endearing if not slightly strange tees that should tickle your fancy (if your fancy is on the bizarre side, or most likely the dark side of the moon of Bizarro World). But I’m in, I love mad, the condition not the magazine. Besides I am mad for a start, I love weird films, and crazy art, and crazy people as long as they don’t have a wardrobe of strait-jackets and protest for their rights through the art of defecation.

To the tees, does Bon√®r give me a boner? Well no, to be honest I don’t get sexually aroused by clothes, I know there are most probably some guys out there right now somewhere in the world begging their girlfriends to wear that cheap set of nylon stockings and suspenders they’ve just bought at the local adult store, or maybe worse. Maybe they’ve decided to wear the get up themselves, either way I’m not that way inclined. But still, it’s funny and I like funny, funny ha ha that is.

I haven’t got around to fully reviewing Austin, Texas based urban clothing label Thriving Ink, but this seems like the perfect opportunity, especially as they are currently holding a sale on all their tees. We’ll call Eggheads a tester, I’d just written about my fave tees at DesignByHumans.com last night; my eyes were bleary, my fingers trembling with the possible onset of RSI (fingers crossed ouch), a strong coffee by my MacBook and a strange vision in my head, banging at the insides of my eyes, pleading for the possibility of escape. It was an act of kindness (for my own sanity), yet looking at the design in the clear light of day, and with a clearer head, I have to admit, this is one twisted t-shirt design. read more

Do you love zombies? I mean in a purely platonic fashion of course! Ever since I first saw Dawn of the Dead (The original George A. Romero production – not that awful remake), I was hooked in, it just seemed more feasible at the time, what with all the talk of genetics on the horizon, biological warfare, what have you. Fair Trade Eco T-Shirts – a designers’ dilemma

There’s a moral obligation for all t-shirt designers to try and pressure the industry, alongside the consumer, to practice business more ethically. This for me is a completely different argument to judging the conditions of the Third World from a First World perspective. Here the only people who we can blame are the t-shirt printers and textile industries of the West, which is fine and dandy with me! read more
