Very funny and absolutely superb illustrations of familiar faces wearing specs to up their game as blind-as-a-bat designers. Move away from that screen! Available in grey. Artist Leah Chen.

Body Tee

A cool piece of comic art by Jia Ying. check the details, there’s a bear stuck in the ribcage and a little girl about to prod some lower intestines – eeww. Lol. Great stuff, get it in black.

Cat Tee

A lovely piece of watercolour art by Dawn Tan on a t-shirt, now there’s a rarity, I’ve never understood why more labels don’t branch out into watercolour tees, a perfect combo. Available in white.

Head Tee

Another anatomical delight, this time a superb illustration that looks like a blend of manga and Russian art by Jia Ying. Is it a balloon on a string or a big headed kid hocking a loogie? Who cares, it’s great. Available in white.

Something Snapped Tee

A funny tee by tengwan. It’s a lovely early Eighties style design, however the speech bubble is written in the wrong tense. It should be “I think I heard something snap” not “I think I heard something snapped.” Ah well. Get it in black complete with typo.

Skull Tee

If you haven’t had your fill of skull tees this one looks like a sketch by Van Gogh! Great work from Kittozutto. Available in black.

I don’t know much about Prawspektiv.com but they seem a friendly enough bunch, based in Europe (I’m guessing France by the language options) and offering up a bloody enormous $5000 prize for their first design winner. The contest starts on the 11th of February 2011 so there’s’ plenty of time to think up some genius designs – heh. I do know this – they want very detailed designs – so you’d better get practising! If you want to know more then your best bet is to follow them on Twitter or fan them at Facebook. Until then this flyer will have to keep you satisfied :0

As always we’re talking SEO skills here, not design skills. Of course to win outright your design has to be great, but the only way it’ll be chosen is if people know it’s there, hence the whole circle-jerking chicken and the egg conundrum begins. How do you get popular? Make great tees. How do you sell them? Be popular before you even designed them! I’m hoping if I repeat this problem I have with t-shirt voting systems some programming genius will work out a solution (Some Day :/)

When I graduated from art college I tried a going for a few Mac design jobs, all of them wanted experience, which you couldn’t get unless you worked for them, which basically meant work for free for a few months and then we’ll see.
