Sounds, Sights And Tees With Spunky At Glastonbury
One of, if not the biggest music festivals in the world, Glastonbury, is just around the corner and Spunky T-Shirts are preparing for their biggest bash ever at the hallowed grounds of Worthy Farm. What’s more Spunky are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s annual event bigger, better, louder and brighter than ever before. They’ve bought some new lighting for the party, replaced some of their speakers and got all their fave DJ’s lined up – with regulars Eddie Fett, Kidross and Danny Bionyc plus special guests including Mr Craig.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, oh no! Spunky are making a shout out for artists to paint some walls for us at Glastonbury, so if you’ve got a ticket and some skills, get in touch through their contact form. They’ll even supply the paint! But lest you forget, Spunky are famous for one thing and that’s great t-shirts! Hey, I know I’ve mentioned it a 100 times before but what the heck, I just received Spunky’s latest newsletter and was chuffed to see that my t-shirt design ‘Old School‘ is still selling well after what seems like a year on their prestigious label! You can get it for £24.95, if you fancy designing a tee for Spunky then check out this link, you get £150 and plenty of free promotions for your art. read more
New Tees at Spunky.co.uk – Including one of mine!
Fame at last! Check out the latest tees available at Spunky.co.uk and if you take a closer look you’ll see Old School which if I do say so myself is one of my favourites there, not least because I designed it. Woot! This is a great British t-shirt store, they even have a stand at Glastonbury Festival, so you know you’re in with the hip kids when you choose Spunky! read more
Alive and Kicking (and Jet Lagged)…
Hey all you lovely t-shirt people, I am in shock, I’ve just got back from a week in Marrakech (yes we had a lovely time thanks) and the first thing I did after a quick cuppa (you know how us Brits like our tea) is switch on the old Macbook and look at my inbox which is heaving. It’s wonderful to be so missed, so appreciated, I’d never realised till now exactly how many people have cottoned on to my obscure little blog, it’s not the grandest of designs, or the greatest of concepts, but I enjoy it, and from what I’ve read it seems many of you out there feel the same. So, firstly thanks, thanks, and more thanks. Don’t worry, I haven’t had another funny turn if you’ve been left hanging out there in the world of t-shirts. Chris and I needed a little break away from the miserable weather here in the UK and Marrakech was the closest, sunniest hotspot we could afford, besides it gave us both a chance to practice our haggling skills, and our School French or what remains of it, hardly Franglais these days, but still funny how much you remember when you’re thrown in the deep end.
Spunky.co.uk are buying t-shirt designs!
Spunky.co.uk have to be one of my favourite online British t-shirt labels; you may have seen them doing their thing at Glastonbury this year, this company is the real deal, they go out there and actually sell their gear rather than sit back and wait like most stores. Besides they have a refreshingly quirky sense of humour and a great selection of original t-shirt designs on offer to top it off.
They’re currently seeking new t-shirt designs for their next collection and are offering £150, a sample t-shirt and as much publicity for your work as they can possibly muster. After all it’s a two-way street here, the better known the designer, the more sales they receive. Essentially I’d take a punt with Spunky because they seem to support their creative sources more than your usual t-shirt label might, they’re even redesigning their t-shirt designer showcase to further improve public awareness of their contributors. Although I have asked if they might consider linking the designers’ names on each product page to their showcase profile. I’d like to see more interactivity too, perhaps a shoutbox or star ratings, although I don’t want them to just become another Threadless clone. read more
