Make Your Mum Proud
Yes this one’s for the Brits, well the Europeans at any chance, it’s not for moms, who don’t exist over here, they can be mothers, though not it the way you might hear between two taxi drivers stuck in a New York traffic jam, no, definitely not. Anyway if you love your mum, and I don’t mean that in a Greek tragedy way, I mean the normal “thanks for going through labour for me” and no I don’t mean working her way through a post-socialist political party either.
Anyway, you can say it with flowers, but well she’s probably sick of the sight of daffodils. You could say it with chocolates, but hey, she’s probably sensitive about her weight these days. So say it with erm… a Spreadshirt t-shirt? Well maybe, I don’t know your mother, she might be that way inclined. I sometimes think Spreadshirt resemble Hallmark more everyday, at least they have a sale on to mark the occassion. Roll on T-shirt Review Bloggers Day, in case you’re wondering what I’d like, it’d have to be a manual flatbed screen printing press for my art (A0 and up). They seem to be rather thin on the ground in this part of the world. read more
Sneaky Spreadshirt?
It looks like Spreadshirt are pulling a fast one on all their designers. Let’s take a look at the new marketplace, product and licensing revisions at Spreadshirt.net:-
The new license can be found here.
The old license can be found here.
Essentially the differences mean, as far as I can tell, designers will receive no marketplace commission whilst making it far more work and more difficult to get your design to the customer. Why do I say this?
Phew! Finally Selling T-Shirts at SpreadShirt.net
It’s finally happened, two new t-shirts are now finally available at SpreadShirt.net – I have to thank everyone from SpreadShirt EU for their help and support, it was tricky back there for a while, but now you can expect to see plenty more designs in flock and flex print over the next few weeks. I’ll also be redesigning the store so you can see all the designs first before choosing your distributor.

Omg SpreadShirt.NET are driving me crazy!!
First they ask me to make layers, then they want me to ‘interleave’ the shapes, now they want the former with a solid background.
SpreadShirt.net must have the most confusing submissions program for just about anything in the world!
Here’s what they’re saying now – I’ll point out that I did increase the borders to every shape in the design to 2.0mm (took me days!) read more
Awaiting results from SpreadShirt.net
I have to admit it I’m surprised to receive the support I have had so far from the “SpreadShirt Service”, in truth I find the support for designers at CafePress.com rather substandard and impersonal, however after a few days delay I’ve had communications with a couple of real people from the company regarding the strange and so far ongoing saga of my first vector image submission to both SpreadShirt.com and SpreadShirt.net so I can offer cheaper shipping via both continents. read more
I spoke too soon – SpreadShirt.com comes through!
Continuing on the Spread Shirt Saga from my previous post “SpreadShirt Blues” – we delve deeper into the mysteries of their vector design submission process. I’ll collate some of the information I’ve had and write an article on submitting to Spread Shirt in the very near future. For now I must work out the vagaries and mysteries of the European arm of Spread shirt. It seems they are working to completely different rules. How would I know? read more
