Let’s get this straight from the start, T-Shirt Party is a Brit label, they’ve got some really cool tees on offer but the site is a mess, and those dodgy Youtube videos don’t help. But what the hell, it’s all about the (t-shirt) love, so let’s partay!

All the tees come in sizes M-XL in white – ‘because G’s only wear white!’ and prices including postage range from £10 to £15 depending where you are in the world. Original ideas, great designs, edgy, dodgy and heaving with attitude, definitely one for the rudeboys. If you can stand the heat enter the T-Shirt Party…

Leon Vault Tees For Sale – Finally!

At last,  it’s been a long old time coming, but it seems that Leon Vault has finally set up an online store to sell their unique arty tees. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you can read all about LV in this review of another label their designers work for. All the shirts at this unique Aussie label are available as scoop, crew and singlet tees for $59 AUD each and crew jumpers at $99 AUD each. Sizes generally range between S-L depending on the cut.

Go Ape For Go Ape Shirts

GoApeShirts.com is run solely by the ever dedicated Josh Perkins, a designer with a passion for t-shirts who with a help of a small army of talented friends has been knocking out some rather stunning designs lately. Now and again other t-shirt blogs have featured one or two of their products, but as usual it’s down to Buy Tees to give you lovely people the full lowdown on this uniquely funny yet creative label and their impressive range of original tees.

All of Go Ape’s shirts and hoodies are screen printed by the highly professional Mammoth Printshop of Alabama on American Apparel products, so you’re rest assured everyone of their tees is both sweatshop-free and of the highest quality. Shipping is $4.50 for one shirt and $1.00 more for each additional shirt after that. Orders outside of the USA, Canada, and Mexico are a flat $4.00 extra per order. They also say they accept design submissions, but be warned, Go Ape are highly selective, so all designers out there, prepare for disappointment!

Some of the current designers on their books include Leon Ryan (who also designed their superb logo), Julian Glander, Hong Kong’s Graphic Airlines, Henrique Lima, John Mitchell (whose sketches lie precariously in between Aubrey Beardsley and Ralph Steadman – the illustrator for Hunter S. Thompson‘s Fear and Loathing in  Las Vegas), Olly Moss, UPSO, Cloxboy and far too many more to mention. Do Believe The Hypothesis

Hyp-Inc.com (aka Hypothesis Inc. Theory Of Self Co.) are a hot label with some very smooth tees on offer, in fact the same can be said for their very Flash site which exudes a gritty urban surrealist style from the word go. Their eye for the new and original is something to behold, don’t expect anything but out of the ordinary at Hyp-Inc, who essentially have a slant on life and all that entails you won’t find on your big labels or even most home-grown indie brands. Their positioning is near enough unique, more commercial than the usual art t-shirts available on the net, but always distinct and irreverent in both graphic sensuality and purpose rarely found in the back catalogues of their larger competitors.

Be different, that seems to be the ongoing theme, not as such an out and out ‘shock passers-by’ tactic for design, but they make a strong impression and a lustrous statement of intent all the same. If I didn’t know better I’d guess these guys have been channelling Magritte from beyond the grave, their array of surrealist tricks is impressive, their simple messages are definitely head turners in a crowd, but subtlety (for once) abounds. Fine t-shirts for fine minds.

I can’t hook you up with product pages as such, but you will definitely have fun wandering around Hyp-Inc’s √ºber slick site, it almost looks like an online trailer for a Cannes winner or a game of mind over matter lushed out in gorgeous Photoshop grainy layers, drawing you in to a time that never was, to a place that never will be. The t-shirt titles are rather cryptic at times, which I like, the designs vary in styles, but there’s distinctly some Dada and Surrealist crossovers going on here. My favourites have a musical leaning, and as it happens Hyp-Inc have a strong following in the music industry, (amongst others) having created complex illustrative posters, CD and vinyl cover art, clothing and advertising imagery for a rich seam of cool bands and festivals including Phish, Matchbox 20, Disco Biscuits, as well as plenty of websites and businesses like www.footylovefilms.com. Eastern Promise At Fabrikade

Fabrikade.sg is a Singapore based online clothing store that draws upon the collective talents of a network of designers from Singapore and further afield, formed by a web collective of Jonathan Kong and a few friends bouncing ideas back and forth over a coffee at Vivocity, their belief that their was a vast niche in the t-shirt market was confirmed by the escalating popularity and success of their truly international store. Drawing upon the creative talents of home grown and global artists, designers and indie labels has helped to quickly build up a solid and unique label showcasing some of the best in t-shirt design from around the world.

There’s a friendly atmosphere at Fabrikade, the site is slick and easy to use, there’s a useful blog and they’re bang on Twitter with plenty of regular updates offering everything from advice on design to interesting t-shirt links to keep you interested from the word go. The Fabrikade ethos is to share and share alike, by helping one another artists and fans can help build a mutually beneficial community worth being a part of – especially if you like great tees! Of course Fabrikade offer a lot more besides, they are after all a fashion label and so if you’re tempted you may want to scout around their other categories for some top quality designer jewellery, iPod sleeves, polos and soft toys. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s all top quality street wear at one of Brighton’s (UK) most prestigious urban labels, www.junkfunk.com offer a wide range of cool tees, hoodies and other groovy gear, and of course they produce their own snazzy line in graphic tees. Their range is particularly popular with the Brits however you can order their clothing from anywhere in the world.
