New Bloodlust Tees
Bloodlust is small indie t-shirt label run by the extremely dedicated Josh Lovell. If there’s one thing this guy loves its horror tees, so much so he designs and sells them himself. There are still a few tees left on sale at just $8 each however the strongest contender, his Bat Head Tank has sold out. Still I do have a sneak preview of his two latest horror tee designs (a third is on the way), each of which will be coming out on February 1st!
Coffin Bat Tee

Nevermore Tee
Each will be released on Feb. 1st and will be priced at $16 each. Printed on soft slim fit shirts in sizes XS-XL.
It’s always nice to help out a new label get their feet on the ground, looking at Josh’s earlier work and comparing it to his Nevermore Tee I have a feeling that success is just around the corner for Bloodlust!
Doodles Tees For The Happy Emo
Now I know I’ve titled this post with something of a contradiction, perhaps even an impossibility for many, but the fact is I’ve found a place that embraces the darkness of life with a smile, dances on the grave of mundanity, and juggles with the hearts and minds of the dispossessed with glee. What’s more this carnival of jolly gloom has been transported from the weird yet wonderful mind of Stefanus Liemena from reams of doodles to a fine collection of t-shirts that should cheer up the most mournful of souls.
The Doodles Online is a fashion store with a difference, the name should be a big clue as to exactly what TDO is all about, doodling and doodles. Stefanus (or Steve if you’re feeling lazy) has doodled all his life, this isn’t a brief affair with the scatterlogical arts, this is a committed marriage between his strangely beguiling subconscious and his talent for hand-eye co-ordination. The fact is Steve could be the nearest the t-shirt industry has to a ouija board, he plucked the character ‘Doodles’ from one of a plethora of scribblings he’s produced over the years. Steve wants his doodles to represent the fun and childlike side of each of us, whilst the darker character to his designs signify something of the problems in our society today. But I’m sure he’d just say he’d having fun – perhaps the best description for the central character Doodles I can offer, is a hybrid mutation between Edward Scissorhands and Dennis The Menace.
I am as usual reading too much into it all I know, but it’s rather a niche market, the happy emo, the smiling goth, but to be honest it’s a rather refreshing approach to t-shirt art, following the adventures of a single character, cheerfully strolling around the outer perimeter of misery. It might just catch on, I’ll let you decide for yourselves… read more
