Here’s my fave from the latest crop of new tees at Seventh.Ink Apparel. One of my faves so far in fact, the Lucky Brains Tee is on pre-order for $20 each (rrp $24) and starts shipping March 11th. Get it in sizes S-XXL for guys and girls.

Walken Dead Tee

Christopher Walken is the man, well he used to be. He’s been in at least half a dozen of my favourite movies, he got mixed up in a fake presidential candidacy, and he’s still pretty light on his feet for an old guy. The design is an extraordinary slice of Photoshop goodness, if you’re into zombies this is as classy as it gets. Buy it in S-XXL for $25 (plus $3 for XXL sizes and shipping).

Whilst I’m at it I have to feature their other t-shirt at the store (there are only two). It’s a fantastic parody of the internet phenomenon that is the Three Wolf Moon. It’s not so much the design that took off in a big way as the buyers’ comments which must be some of the funniest sarcasm I have ever read – even if it is the lowest form of humour. For those who need a translation ‘Frit means fries’, so essentially they’re French Fries, haw he haw he haw. Love it. Not keen on the store though, looks like a print on demand site which means you can get the design on just about anything you like, but the t-shirts seem decent enough and start at €16.90 each. Elephantman Tee

Seb is selling these to fund his animation project Bertram Fiddle. Available for £20 each at Spabbyland, the Elephantman Tee is a limited edition of just 30 available in small, medium or large and each order comes with its very own Elephantman ink drawing.

Rather hilarious if you ask me, and deserving of an animation in its own right, but for now Seb has enough on his plate with Bertram Fiddle. There are a few other lovely Bertram Fiddle related hand pulled screen prints and cards at the store too, just in case you fancy taking a peek!

Seb alongside his mate Joe and a musician called Alex runs Rumpus Animation in Bristol, England, they’ve already had some funding and script help for various projects from South West Screen, UK Film Council, David Bull and Aardman Animations, but now they’re on their own and so buying one of his Elephantman Tees could help create another episode of the strange and quixotic animated series of Bertram Fiddle – a Victorian Explorator and Adventurist who has a funny habit of meeting some of the strangest creatures on his travels.

If you want to know more then I’d definitely read Bertram’s blog at www.bertramfiddle.blogspot.com – which is as funny as the films as it happens. There’s a mention of Bertram’s friend the Elephantman aka Joseph Merrick P.I there too! I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing Seb all the best in his fascinating animation, let’s hope someone with a little vision and a lot of money picks up on it soon!

Trap Tee

OMG I love it, yes it’s another Fairey clone, but what a superb choice for a subject. The highly obscure one-liner in Return of the Jedi (that’s a proper Star Wars movie), when Admiral Ackbar yells out “It’s a trap!”. He’s my 2nd fave character after the rather mysterious and moody Bobba Fett. Ackbar has a real cult following, asides being featured in everything from Family Guy to Robot Chicken, as of March 2010, students at the University of Mississippi continue a push to elect Admiral Ackbar as their next on-field team mascot. Great stuff, and strangely quasi-political in it’s own unique way.
