Bruno Blum Tees @ I’n'Eye
Bruno Blum is something of a legend in France and the world of reggae, being a singer-songwriter, guitarist and music producer (nicknamed ‘Doc Reggae’) you’d think he’d have little time for anything else. Think again. He’s also a celebrated cartoonist, illustrator, painter, photographer, writer and lecturer. What’s more a brand new French fashion label I’n'Eye who are heavily influenced by the reggae scene (can’t you tell?) have chosen 3 of Blum’s magnificent illustrations for their first release. A set of 3 tees, all of which are also available individually, screen printed with loving care, (although the designs are a little bit small for me I guess that’s the way they do things in France), and on offer in sizes L/XL at €20 each or 3 for €50.
The Dread Brothers Tee
A very furry freaky design, can’t help thinking the prints should be far bigger though. Anyone remember the Freak Brothers? When the hell is that coming out as a movie? Anyone? Okay give me the money and I will make it :p
Don’t Drink and Drive Tee
…Smoke and Fly! Sounds good to me, bad to most of you I’m sure, but it’s one of many reasons I think I might have been French in another life, I love the arts quarter café culture there. If only they could add a little Amsterdam shenanigans into the mix, I’d probably emigrate!
Mystic Vibes Tee
Yeah man, peace out, groovy. One big happy family of freaks, this is the way life was meant to be.
Let’s hope for larger prints for the next series, until then buy one Bluno Brum shirt or the lot at www.ineye-shop.com or keep up-to-date via their blog at www.ineyeblog.wordpress.com. Make sure you brush up on your French (or at least Franglais) first though!
Janine Tee @ Oneiroi Apparel
Oneiroi Apparel (pronounced on-e-roy) is a rather subconsciously inspired London indie fashion company. Taking inspiration from dreams and their emotional pull on us all, be they burning desires, cherished aspirations, ambitions and ideals that roam our collective subconscious and give each and everyone of us the will and drive to get up every morning and do something with our lives.
Exclusive: Save 15% off this and all their shirts with our permanent code BUYTEES. Just enter it at the checkout!
I’ve always had a suspicion that dreams have some kind of homoeostatic purpose, and were deeply connected to living life to the full. In fact I found out recently that an average human being can live longer without food than they can without dreams! Oneiroi Apparel’s mantra is ‘No Tax On Dreams’, which lies at the core of their ethos, weighing up the power of hope and vision, coupled with self belief and a strong work ethic, this should be all you need to reach your goals.
Janine Tee
A rather beautifully hand rendered illustration, the Janine tee exudes Art Deco and Film Noir, I love the slightly deranged scribbles towards the bottom of the image and tears and cigarette smoke heighten the mood. There’s rather a wonderful Hindu mantra on the product page too… ‘Good work done with bad intentions inevitably leads to failure. That is why one should refrain from evil tendencies.’ – Yajur Veda. You can buy this shirt in sizes S-L in white for £25.

Lamp Tee @ Plane Clothing
If you’re as much of a fan of classic design as I am, you will definitely appreciate the love that UK indie label Plane Clothing are showing for the humble anglepoise. Invented by British architect George Carwardine in 1932, it’s still a familiar site on many office desks to this day. If you’d like to share the tribute then you’ll appreciate Plane Clothing’s Lamp Tee. The design is actually based upon “a photograph of our favourite lamp in the studio, found abandoned at the Upmarket.”
Lamp Tee
Available for £20 in white, sizes S-XL. An enlightened design.
Brand info:
Set up in East London 5 years ago by designer and photographer Gerry Buxton, who designs and hand prints (with water-based inks) all the tees and hoodies at www.planeclothing.co.uk. For more information about the design process and a behind the scenes look at Gerry’s studio, check out his Facebook page. Plane Clothing can also be found on the Upmarket next to Brick Lane every Sunday and on Spitalfields on Fridays.
Honour Over Glory
I am shocked to find I’ve never featured this incredible brand before. The 13-strong artist collective Honour Over Glory was established last year in February, HOG are based in Aberdeen Scotland, and their illustrated fashion range is quite phenomenal. Leaning towards the tattoo-style illustration, their designs are punchy, bold, and highly recognisable.
If you want to learn more about the team of artists at HOG click here. Asides the tees they offer hoodies, vests, hats, crew-necks and more. Their prices are sound at £12.99 each (when you see the quality you’ll see why they’re great value), in sizes S-XL, with quite a few goodies awaiting a reprint, I won’t tease you so only those in stock are featured below.
Warrior Girl Tee
A very celtic, tribal, powerful tattoo style illustration by Scott Gunner.
Young Heart Tee
Another cool tattoo style tee, you can never go wrong with wolves ;) This one’s by the art supremo Rik Lee.
Serpent Ties Tee
Perhaps my fave of the lot, love the snake, a great illustration by Callum Green.
Muertos Tee
Okay I’d tie the last one with this one, too many good tees, which is never a bad thing. Another great design by Scott Gunner.
Deer T-hoody
Yep it’s not quite a tee and not quite a hoody, but I have to include this one, very snazzy at £14.99. Should be a hit with the girlies.
See more fabbo tees at the almost irritatingly brilliant www.HonourOverGlory.com.
Third Time’s The Charm Tee
I’m not particularly superstitious, I do walk on the cracks in the pavement, Friday the 13th doesn’t seem to be any unluckier than Thursday the 12th, however I do avoid walking under ladders, but that’s just common sense. The number 3 seems to have a powerful place in society, there’s the Trinity in Christianity, one of my all-time faves Three is the Magic Number and then there’s these two interchangeable sayings, “Third Time Lucky” and “Third Time’s The Charm”. Beau Clothing have gone with the latter as the inspiration for their rather cool Third Time’s The Charm graphic t-shirt.
Third Time’s The Charm Tee
I had to persuade Beau Clothing to upload a couple of detail shots, but I think you’ll agree it’s worth it. A very clean and cool tribute to the lucky number 3. You can get this unisex t-shirt in sizes XS-L for $21 each.

Horizon Tee
Take a look at the Horizon Tee at Graybow. Hwowane Johnnie the founder of Graybow contacted me today and this t-shirt definitely jumped out of the collection for me.
Horizon Tee
There are just 8 of these left, the bold design definitely sums up the theme at Graybow, you can get it in black, sizes S/M/XL for $32.
Here’ a little more info about the label:
“Graybow intertwines the wisdom of Africa with a contemporary message and modern expression in a unique life style brand that blends high fashion men’s/women’s wear with cutting edge iconic street wear elements. Graybow designs are at times poetic, rebellious, and always charged with emotion rooted in our heritage.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and with reverence to his native home, Graybow stems from Grebo, the tribe of our founder’s family in Liberia – West Africa. The spelling was changed to put our own interpretation on it and to make sure it’s said correctly. The crane represents longevity…what we all strive for…“

Eau de Mars
Hmm… the smell of Mars? If it did have an atmosphere I think it have a whiff of sulphur, but who cares this brand spanking new indie Brit label is definitely not a stinker! In fact Eau de Mars are already firing all guns in order to quickly find their place in the market, with a very slick site and store, a couple of discount codes, and top street fashion t-shirt designs by top artists, many of whom have worked in the past for cool labels like Vicious History and Honour Over Glory.
A few tees are already available already, namely their selection of artist designed (highly) limited edition shirts (200 each), there’s also a premium and classic section, however you’ll have to wait for those. Here are the discounts:

Ritual 2.0 Tee
Available in both black (looks more like dark grey to me) and white editions, pre-order for £24.95 each in unisex sizes XS-L. Another classic heavy metal/tattoo style design from Craig Robson.
Undercover in Creature Town Tee
This one’s by the illustrator Helmi Himawan. Again black and white editions on offer. If u love monsters you should be in mutant hog heaven by now… pre-order for £24.95 each in unisex sizes XS-L.

Latest Tees at Ardentees
I featured some superb tee designs at Singapore based Ardentees (a.k.a ARDT) last April – well here’s a load more courtesy of their latest collection.
The PR blurb says “The theme revolves around the protagonist’s dreams. A digital video error has been intentionally manipulated and controlled to create a unique effect known as datamoshing, which was made famous by Kayne West in one of his videos.” (ooh fancy schmancy!)
This collection introduces 8 exclusive designs from new global artists like Russian Vladimir Snegotskiy aka Waldez and fellow Brit Iain MacArthur and the pick of their current crop of artists Jack Crossing and Hannes Hummel. The latest range of designs offers a riot of colour, ultra intricate print details and portraits of the fairer sex to form an eccentric mix-mash of designs furthering the credibility of Ardentees as a major art shirt label. This latest collection offers a better range of t-shirt colours and fitted styles for the girls. All of the following are priced at 50 SGD each (which works out just under $40 US) as unisex tees in XS to L.
Beauty in Versicolor Tee
Gorgeous illustration, I’d take Versicolor over Technicolor any day :p See more of Hansomoto’s work at www.blog.vintagekitsune.org.
Another Karma Tee
Take a look at the detail shot, this is most definitely a phenomenal skull tee. Totally crazy design by Waldez.
Beauty Tee
Beauty is on the inside. Lovely design by Iain MacArthur.
Rice Rice Crispies Tee
Love the Dada influences in this design by the highly talented Bene Rohlmann.
