The Hermit Returns!

Concrete Hermit Art T-shirtsConcrete Hermit are back bigger and better than ever with a fabulous new selection of quirky art shirts designed by top artists from around the world. For those not in the know check out my past review entitled Solid As a Rock – Concrete Hermit. For the rest of us I think we should just on and check out what goodies the Hermit has brought back from his travels to the back and beyond of t-shirt inspired revelry and delirium, in that order…

Dog T-shirt

Absolutely incredible tee from Bob London, a highly talented illustrator who is in great demand right now. I’ve included a close-up shot because you have to treat your eyes to those lines! It’s somewhere between wireframe and tattoo, it’s genius. You can get Bob’s Dog T-shirt at CH for £25 in sizes S to L, in both black and white.

Gym T-shirt

Gym T-Shirt by Maxwell Harrison

Another beauty but shooting in from a completely different artistic perspective. This for me has to be the idea that got away from Piet Mondrian, in fact this deserves to be on canvas in a gallery somewhere. Perhaps the best sports tee I have ever encountered, abstract with purpose, very subtle, a winner! Get Maxwell Harrison’s Gym T-shirt for £25 in sizes S to L here. Also available in heather.

Sound T-shirt

Sound T-shirt by Iain Macarthur

If you love bass, I mean deep and subsonic, rattling the furniture and your bones, then this is the tee for you. A lovely bit of old school illustration from Iain Macarthur, funny as the style looks more like something from an 80’s metal band record cover. Straight from the street and onto your chest, get the Sound T-shirt for £25 in sizes S to L here.

Arms T-shirt

Arms T-shirt by John Slade

Had to give one a quick mention before I split. Lovely style, another kooky character from the inimitable artist that is John Slade. A very subtle bit of colouring here, love the dodgy old jumpers (that’s sweaters if you’re American). All knitted by Gran no doubt. The colour gives it a surreal edge, as if you’re looking at some kind of Kafkaesque moment of metamorphosis on a nautical theme. Get the Arms T-shirt for £25 in sizes S to L here.

Very cool designs. Intricate detail and yet images are simple in their own way. Great stuff.

Yes we regularly review Concrete Hermit, love the artists they get to sign on their books. See more of their work at their gallery!
