Scientific Beach Boys Tee @ Miss Wit
Miss Wit have just released an Early Beach Boys Song Topics tee, this design has a long and venerable history, at least in Internet terms. It all began when college humour writers Jeff Rubin and Dan Meth (famous for such cultural highlights as Internet People) got chatting one day about all the cultural Venn diagrams that Dan had been making, and agreed that the Beach Boys’ early career would be a perfect addition. Their later career, from ‘Pet Sounds‘ onwards would of course involve all sorts of random factors like drugs and depression.
The design has been featured in The New York Times and the UK’s Guardian, and now it’s a t-shirt, true fame at last I’d say. Anyway take a look at some pics…

Very funny and very cool, you can almost see how Brian Wilson’s brain worked until he got hooked and miserable, although I’d say that Pet Sounds was the greatest piece of work he’d ever produced, there was a distinct lack of the usual Beach Boys fodder in these earlier works. Even though his writing and arrangements in Pet Sounds did influence such masterpieces as The Beatles‘ seminal album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, he probably found life a lot easier drug and depression free, where he solely thought about girls, cars and surfing.
If only life was so simple for everyone these days, at least we can all look back at more innocent times (well not that innocent), by wearing one of Miss Wit’s classic Beach Boys’ tees, available in silver, unisex sizes S to 3XL and ladies M to L for $22 here. Whilst you’re there why not check out Miss Wit’s blog too, it’s funny, honest.
