I Came From Nothing
I Came From Nothing is a hardcore collective of top t-shirt designers, this exciting underground brand is based in the UK and offers Brits free shipping on all their gloriously gory tees. If you’re into lush illustrations and punk-style design then you’re definitely feel at home at www.icamefromnothing.com. You’ll find a string of top notch artists under their belt, although they’re always scouting for excellence, so if you think you can make the grade contact them here. ICFN are all over the social networking scene including Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and offer all the latest updates on their range at their blog.
Their current collection certainly hits you the moment you enter the store, everything from monsters and zombies to killer panda bears, there’s one thing that ties almost all the designs together and that’s a love of salubrious gore. The site is very easy to navigate, features a rather hot model to keep the guys amused, in one shot she’s actually wielding a bloody knife so a word of caution for the faint hearted, you’re probably not going to want to hang around. For those made of stronger stuff get ready for the best of the best in graphic nightmares. Every tee is up for sale at a reasonable £20, when you consider the quality of the designs and shirts and the amount of work that’s gone into each illustration that’s a relative bargain. Some take their cue from old school horror comics, others subvert classic monster genres, and some are just downright hilarious (if you have a dark sense of humour) like their Skull Kid tee.

Anyway… let’s raise the dead and have a party, to kick off here are some of my fave tees on offer at ICFN…
Grave Tee
![]() |
Let’s start with a real shocker, you just can’t get more gore for your pound (of flesh) than this horrific example of illustrated hell, it’s the Grave Tee and it’s definitely not one to wear next time you’re having tea with your mum and the vicar. If you ever wondered what the world would look like without skin you can get a pretty good idea from this shirt. If all your thrash metal, punk, and generally freaky friends think they have the upper hand in the gory tees stakes, they should think again. This has to be the horror of horrors when it comes to t-shirt design, the plucked eyeball finishes off what can’t possibly get any more blood splatteringly ‘orrible. I will probably need a lie down after this review, I must be getting old, still I can imagine a legion of angry youths out to shock who will adore this example of bloody and murderous t-shirt design. Get yours if you dare for £20 in sizes S to XXL in black here.
Genie Tee

Oh dear, oh dear, what a nasty surprise, and definitely not your usual panto fodder. If you do happen to find an old oil lamp lying around in the attic, don’t rub it, I doubt you’ll like what rises out of the plume of smoke, certainly not in this example anyway. The Genie tee is the stuff of nightmares come true, I’m sure the first wish on most people’s minds would be to get rid of the damn genie. Thankfully we use electricity these days so there’s not much chance of getting into this dire of dire situations. A great subversion of an old tale, if you want all your wishes to come true, and I mean, they must be some rather masochistic wishes to say the least, then grab this ghoulish tee for £20 in sizes S to XXL in black, white and a rather fetching mint here.
Bear Brains Tee
![]() |
I don’t understand it but I love it, perhaps this classic horror hip-hop tee delves into the mind of one of the major players on the scene, all they have on their minds is money and …bears? Enlighten me please. Still I don’t really care what it means, t-shirts don’t always have to proffer some kind of message, sometimes they can just be fun, and the Bear Brains tee is certainly a spectacle of slick design and exuberant colour. Cool as cool can get, available for £20 in sizes S to XXL in black, light blue, pink and purple here.
Skate Bite Tee
![]() |
Snake bite? Skate Bite? Geddit? Of course you do – still it’s an excellent twist on all those old skater designs that have been doing the rounds since gawd knows how long. The Skate Bite tee is guaranteed to impress on the ramps, even if you do take a fall or two you know your pride will be protected by the hypnotic stare of this skater zombie. Beautifully illustrated, a great composition, and a surprisingly subtle palette of hues and tones. Love the bandage detail, those brains need to stay in that skull one way or another. Really great perspective too. Get this stunner for £20 in sizes S to XXL in white and black here.
Venture further into the depths of gloriously gory t-shirt excellence at www.icamefromnothing.com – but do watch out for creatures from the beyond, they seem to hang around there, perhaps it’s just vanity
