Sounds, Sights And Tees With Spunky At Glastonbury
One of, if not the biggest music festivals in the world, Glastonbury, is just around the corner and Spunky T-Shirts are preparing for their biggest bash ever at the hallowed grounds of Worthy Farm. What’s more Spunky are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s annual event bigger, better, louder and brighter than ever before. They’ve bought some new lighting for the party, replaced some of their speakers and got all their fave DJ’s lined up – with regulars Eddie Fett, Kidross and Danny Bionyc plus special guests including Mr Craig.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, oh no! Spunky are making a shout out for artists to paint some walls for us at Glastonbury, so if you’ve got a ticket and some skills, get in touch through their contact form. They’ll even supply the paint! But lest you forget, Spunky are famous for one thing and that’s great t-shirts! Hey, I know I’ve mentioned it a 100 times before but what the heck, I just received Spunky’s latest newsletter and was chuffed to see that my t-shirt design ‘Old School‘ is still selling well after what seems like a year on their prestigious label! You can get it for £24.95, if you fancy designing a tee for Spunky then check out this link, you get £150 and plenty of free promotions for your art.

Anyway if you fancy hooking up with Spunky at Glasto you’ll need this map because firstly it’s a massive festival and secondly you’ll probably be too out of it to find them. So print this up or tattoo it on your forehead and ask strangers who seem slightly less inebriated to push you in the right direction :p

Whilst I’m at it I thought I’d give you a preview of a t-shirt design I’ve just submitted to Spunky – fingers crossed it will be another best seller for the guys, who know, it’ll probably be way after the festival before I hear if I’ve made the grade… it’s simply entitled ‘May The Force…‘

To be honest I’ve had this idea rolling around in one of my sketchbook’s for a while now and knew it wouldn’t fit in with the rest of my graffiti art and thought it might be right up Spunky’s street, especially as they seem rather short on any sci-fi tees at the ‘mo. To be even more honest I’ve been slaving away at a rather over ambitious piece for my graffiti art site called ‘Outta Space‘ for quite a while now and really needed a break and so I decided to flex my creativity in a different direction and before I knew it I had another potential killer t-shirt design (in my humble opinion lol) under my belt. We’ll see, no love lost if they don’t approve it, but it’s a little extra cash in the pocket if they do. I could do with that right now, money’s tight for me as with everyone and every penny counts these days!
Here’s a couple of Spunky’s offerings that still catch my eye…

So if you’re heading down Glastonbury way make sure to pop in to the Spunky Soundsystem , look at the art, have a boogie and even buy a t-shirt or two from the coolest, friendliest, spunkiest t-shirt label in the UK. If you can’t make it then why not take a trip down memory lane and browse through their Glastonbury Archive, jam-packed with great pics of Spunky at the festival all the way back to 2000!
