NEW T-Shirt Printing Technologies From Innovative Apparel!
August 15, 2008
If you’re a t-shirt designer who’s looking for an extra advantage in the market, I want to bring your attention to a fabulous site - InnovativeApparel.com - offering a ream of new t-shirt printing technologies that I and I am sure few others have come across before. I’m still waiting for more information on their groundbreaking services as we speak, however you can get the gist of it from their site. Two of these techniques offer a fantastic retro/vintage look, the site’s blurb says they’ve reduced their prices I’m still waiting for a price list to see exactly how cheap they can offer this.
Stain Imaging
This is their own patented all-over apparel printing system, offering “All Over” custom image printed directly on to finished apparel. Click on the contact sheet to see their selection of stock patterns, this is just to give you an idea of the what Innovative Apparel can do for you.
Stainable Garment Requirements:
You can use their 100% 6.1 oz. Gildan tee shirts and sport shirts., alternatively supply your own garments, they accept all brands of 100% cotton fabric as long as it is a minimum of 5.9 oz. and Jersey Knit material. If a 50/50 tee shirt is required, Fruit of the Loom Best must be used. Speciality Garments that do not fall into these categories must be tested separately.
This opens up all kinds of creative avenues for t-shirt designer/producers, for instance, a large screen-printed design over a repeated background of the same image, small enough to create an all-over pattern, just like the big corporate producers
Over The Edge Apparel Printing
Custom Image Printed “Off the Edge” of finished apparel. Can Print over zippers, pockets and seams. NO belt printing! IA’s
“Over The Edge” printing process is a new, eco-friendly technique offering many distinct advantages. It provides an engaging, natural, weathered look (vintage /retro) wherein each piece is an original with its own unique character and natural imperfections. Over seams, collars, pockets, edges, it prints just about anywhere without regard to boundary. The light-weight, ‘dye-like’ colors interact nicely with each other creating the uniqueness that sets it apart from anything else. An absolutely incredible product
Laser Cut Embroidery
This Incredible New Product Revolutionises Traditional Embroidery. No digitising fees, no scratchy backing and very hard wearing this ultra clean embroidery method can be heat sealed onto almost any t-shirt at any position, even on areas that can’t be hooped. After Innovative Apparel have digitised your logo for free, they then embroider it to a piece of what they descrive as “Space Age Polymer”. It’s then perfectly cut out with a laser and then heat sealed to your garments (or you can), with no annoying scratching threads or backing, and No “hoop marks” for an incredibly strong and hardwearing final product. Best of all, they say the costs are about half that of traditional embroidery! A minimum wholesale order starts at only 144 pc.
Alumna Stone Transfers
Bright and Beautiful Lightweight, Faceted, Gem Designs for your t-shirts. This technique is simplicity itself, you literally send in your design and they’ll create facted aluminium transfers (of various colours) that you can either apply yourself or pay them extra to complete at the factory.
If you’ve ever wanted to make your tees more sparkly but were put off by the idea of smothering yourself and everything around you in glue and gemstones, this could be the answer to all your troubles. I imagine there will be a lot more shiny t-shirts on offer on the net over the next few months if this technique is as easy as it sounds. Perhaps I’ll do myself a Pearly King t-shirt for my next knees up
So there you have it, some incredible services and techniques on offer to up your game and help you to compete with the big boys in the t-shirt market. If you want to know more they offer catalogues and mailing lists, strangely I cannot find any contact details on the site, I’m assuming they’ve had a lot of timewasters, although I’d consider the lack of a contact number a serious mistake in business, I’m sure they’ll be more forthcoming once they’ve been brought to the bosom of the t-shirt community. However I have found half a phone number and an email at Screenprinter.net’s forum - Ron Anderson - Creative Director 866-427-8246 - ron@innovativeapparel.com

I love the stain imaging! Very cool.
