Zombie T-Shirts - for people with brainsssss…

Do you love zombies? I mean in a purely platonic fashion of course! Ever since I first saw Dawn of the Dead (The original George A. Romero production - not that awful remake), I was hooked in, it just seemed more feasible at the time, what with all the talk of genetics on the horizon, biological warfare, what have you. What didn’t make sense was a rather fay gentleman biting ladies on the neck with fangs that his dentist must surely have noticed, even if no one else ever did. Besides all that transmutation business doesn’t cut it either, sure for the first few days of development the foetus runs through a whole bunch of genome types, but after that mutation is just mutation. It’d be fun if it was the ability to transform or fly or something or other too amazing for this tired old planet, but usually it’s a disease, a disfigured misconfiguration, a lacking rather than a greater.

Hence the sense in the whole zombie idea, disease, secret biological experiments by the army or a secret unit in the back and beyond of an unassuming desert. Something goes wrong, as usual the government in question handles the whole scenario badly, even tries to cover it up, either way it’s too late, the zombies are loose and we’re all going to die, but keep doing what we always did, but with less precision and attention to hygiene. Munching their way though the uninfected brains of the human race until we are all zombies. Arrggghh.. it’s already happened! I watched American Idol on TV last night, I really didnt mean to, it was just there, on, in front of me, the process of zombification has begun, get away while you still can, shoot their heads, take the helicopter and you should be fine… what do you mean you can’t fly a chopper?

Just a quick note about the Threadless.com voting process - I’ve seen submitted t-shirts on their site that I would gladly recommend, however, it seems that the site has an enormous backlog, I’m not sure of the minimum votes each t-shirt needs, but overall the process kind of sucks actually. It seems like a sure-fire route towards conformity of style, they’re worth something like $18 million dollars yet if a t-shirt makes them half a million the designer isn’t likely to make more than a few percent from that. If you’re designer looking for a better payout you should try Oddica.com

They pay a whopping 41% commission on any sales of your designs, unfortunately they are only accepting t-shirt stores right now (which means arranging your own website, printing and deliveries), however they say they are working on an alternative program for designers (similar to Threadless but with fairer payouts).
